It is estimated that TMJ
(jaw joint) problems affect as much as 60% of the adult U.S.
population. TMJ problems can be caused by grinding of the teeth, an
improper bite or traumatic injury to the face or jaw. The TMJ or jaw
joint begins to click or pop and may lock temporarily. In some cases
headaches result.
The good news is TMJ problems can often be treated non-surgically
and without shots.
